Who is responsible

Dragan Atanasov, EU VAT ID PL6762491554, is the data controller for the Memo Reminders website and Android app. You can contact the controller about privacy at hello@memoreminders.com.

Website visits

The website does not have user accounts, a contact form, or a mailing list. It does not run advertising scripts.

If you arrive through an ad link, the website may receive campaign parameters in its URL, such as the advertising platform, channel, and campaign name. The site keeps these values in session storage for the current browser tab so they can be carried to a Google Play download link if you visit another page first. When you select a download link, the campaign values are sent to Google Play as referral information. This lets Google Play report app listing visits and acquisitions by UTM source and campaign in Play Console. The campaign values may also appear in website request logs described below. Use a distinct campaign name for each ad if you want to compare ads in those reports.

Google Play download links include default UTM values that identify clicks from this website: source “memoreminders.com”, medium “referral”, and campaign “website_cta”. If you arrive with campaign values in the page URL, they replace matching defaults. Google Play receives these values as referral information and may include them in Play Console reports.

The website runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as the requested page, IP address, browser and device details, request time, and response status, to deliver the site, monitor its operation, and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare Worker observability logging is enabled for this site. Cloudflare stores these logs according to its current service settings and account plan. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and its Workers Logs information.

The Google Play download badge is served from this website. Selecting it opens Google Play, which receives the page request and related technical information. See Google's privacy policy.

Website analytics

With your permission, the website uses PostHog to understand visits and selected interactions, such as download clicks and error recovery actions. PostHog is not initialized before you allow analytics. If you later withdraw your choice, the site stops future analytics collection and removes the PostHog identifier from your browser. This does not delete information PostHog received before your choice changed.

PostHog may process page addresses, interaction events, browser and device information, and network information such as your IP address. When analytics is enabled, PostHog may store an identifier in your browser to distinguish visits. The website routes PostHog requests through Cloudflare to PostHog's EU service. See PostHog's privacy information.

The site stores your choice in a first-party cookie for up to 180 days. Essential storage remembers your choice. It is always on. Analytics is optional and off until you choose to allow it. You can change your choice at any time by selecting Privacy settings in the site footer.

Android app data

The app saves reminders and templates on your device. This can include titles, notes, schedules, repeat settings, action details such as a phone number or web address, and app settings. The app does not require an account and does not sync reminder content to a Memo Reminders server.

Android backup is allowed by the app. Depending on your Android version, device, Google account, and backup settings, Android may copy app data to your Google account or transfer it to another device. This backup is managed by Android and Google, not by a Memo Reminders account. See Android Auto Backup for details.

The app uses Android notifications to show reminders. Android and your device settings control where notifications appear. A reminder marked Personal is hidden from the lock screen by the app, but review your device's notification settings if you want to limit what appears while the device is locked.

If you choose a reminder action such as Call, SMS, Email, Navigate, or Web, the app opens another app with the relevant details you entered. For example, a phone number, message, email content, destination, or web address may be shared with that app or its service provider. Their own privacy terms apply. The app does not automatically send a message or email when it opens the corresponding action.

Optional app analytics

Firebase Analytics is off by default. During setup, you can choose whether to enable it. If you enable it, the app sends screen and feature-use events, such as which areas are visited and when reminders or templates are created, edited, completed, snoozed, or deleted. Template events include only the template type, such as a single reminder or a list. App-defined events do not include reminder titles, notes, phone numbers, email details, web addresses, or other reminder action content.

While analytics is on, Google Analytics for Firebase may also collect standard app-use and technical information. This can include app-instance identifiers, app opens and updates, session information, operating system and device model, and approximate location. The app disables Advertising ID collection and ad-personalization signals. Read Google's Firebase data collection information and Firebase Analytics privacy information.

Analytics is used to understand app usage and improve the app. The legal basis is your consent. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings, then Privacy. Turning analytics off stops future app analytics collection. It does not automatically erase information Google collected before you changed your choice.

Support email

If you email support, the controller receives your email address, message, and any information you choose to include. This information is used to answer your question and handle necessary follow-up. Your email provider and the service used for the support mailbox may also process the message to send and receive it. Please do not include sensitive details that are not needed to answer your request.

Service providers and sharing

Cloudflare provides website hosting and related technical services. PostHog provides optional website analytics. Google provides Google Play services and Firebase Analytics for the Android app. These providers process information as needed to provide their services and according to their own terms and privacy information. They may process data in countries where they or their service providers operate, including outside the European Economic Area. See Cloudflare's data processing addendum, PostHog's data processing addendum, and Firebase's data processing terms for information about applicable safeguards and transfer terms.

The app does not send reminder content to the controller. Reminder details may be shared with an external app or service only when you choose and open a reminder action. The controller does not sell personal information or share it for third-party advertising.

Legal bases and retention

Where data protection law applies, the controller relies on these legal bases when handling information:

  • Website request and security information is processed for the controller's legitimate interests in operating, maintaining, and protecting the website.
  • Optional website analytics is processed on the basis of your consent.
  • Support correspondence is processed to respond to your request and, where necessary, for the controller's legitimate interests in managing support and keeping records of follow-up.
  • Optional app analytics is processed on the basis of your consent.

Reminder content is stored on your device to provide the features you choose to use. It stays there until you delete it or remove the app. Android backups may remain subject to Google's backup and deletion practices. The controller keeps support correspondence only for as long as needed to respond, handle reasonable follow-up, and meet legal obligations or resolve claims. Cloudflare logs, PostHog website analytics data, and Firebase Analytics data are retained according to the relevant provider settings and policies. The controller does not set a separate fixed retention period for those provider records.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or ask to restrict or object to its processing. You may also have a right to receive certain information in a portable format. If processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew consent.

To exercise a right, email hello@memoreminders.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. In Poland, this is the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). More information about rights is available from the European Commission.

Changes to this policy

If the app or website changes how it handles information, this policy will be updated. Check the date at the top of this page for the latest revision.
